We will brief the team on the search and rescue exercise which is a hunt for the flight recorder from lost light aircraft (based on a real scenario). The team will be provided with a budget and access to land and water based resources (kayaks, dive gear, radios, compasses and charts). There will be a surplus of information (weather plot s, control tower conversations, ground intelligence) that they will need to work through to determine an appropriate plan of action.

Teams to start their activities (accompanied by guides)

We reflect on the nature of conflict using the Harvard conflict resolution model. This provides team members with a framework to tackle different topics.

Lunch with de-brief and reflection. We will used qualified facilitators to explore how the teams formed, normed and determined which resources were required. We will also look at their communication styles and their adaptability to meet the changing needs based on latest information releases.
